What does Mbo'Wam mean?
Mbo'Wam means "Like your home" in the Bassa language - a Bantu dialect. The name reflects the comfort and hospitality we offer to our guests.
How does a property become a Mbo'Wam residence?
Every home is carefully hand selected by the Mbo'Wam team. Every home we list has successfully passed our home selection process. The process diligently examines all candidate properties in search for characteristics that match our standards.
Who owns the listings on Mbo'Wam?
It depends. We either lease or manage the homes listed on our platform. Either way, we ask our guests to treat our homes with care, just like they would treat theirs.
How to make a booking on Mbo'Wam?
Browse through our listings. Once you have found one that meets your travel needs, you can either place the booking online or call us to confirm the booking on the phone. Once the payment is processed, you will be notified that reservation has been confirmed. Note that renters are required to provide identification and undergo screening as part of the pre-check process to access their rental.
What about last minute bookings?
We understand travel emergencies and last minute changes happen. For any last minute bookings please call us to confirm the unit is ready to host you.
What is Mbo'Wam pre-check process?
Renters are required to provide a scan of valid goverment-issued identification or passport and a selfie. This is an important safety and compliance step to ensure a smooth rental process.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-ins are anytime after 4:00 p.m. and check-outs are before 11:00 a.m. Early check-ins and/or late checkouts are allowed on a case by case basis and can only be confirmed 12 to 18 hours prior to the start (or end) of the reservation. Guests will need to contact us to confirm if any time adjustments are possible.
What is the check-in process?
We are dedicated to make the check-in process as seamless as possible for our guests. Guests will be given detailed written and video instructions on how to access their rental unit 3 days before the start of the reservation. In most cases, guests will be given an access code and key location for them to self check-in. In case the rental requires an in-person check-in, a member of our team will arrange a time to meet the guest at the unit.
What if a guest has a special request?
Any special requests have to addressed to our team. We shall inform the guest if there are any additional costs associated with their request.
What is the cancellation policy?
Our default cancellation policy is as follows:
Full refund if cancelled 24 hours within booking time. *(For bookings made beyond a week before the start of the reservation)
50% refund if cancelled more than a week before the start of the reservation.
No refund if cancelled within a week from the start of the reservation.

The standard house rules are no party, no loud gathering, no smoking and no pets (eventhough we love pets).
